I just started on my winter project today, a 560. I have a couple questions. This tractor is for family friends and it’s the first one that they purchased new, so it’s special to them.

Where is the best place to get parts, steering wheel, seat, and little odd and ends? We have a pretty decent Case/IH dealer around; can they still get this stuff? Are there people who specialize in Farmall stuff?

The needle in the tach has fallen off the pin inside, so it don't work, but you can still see that pin move. Is there anyone that rebuilds these b/c they want the original hours to still stay on the tach. So if someone could lead me in the right directions I'd appreciate it.

I just took most of the sheet metal off today, so I'm just getting started. I'm sure I'll be back to ask more questions. I'll try to keep everyone posted on the progress, and maybe pictures too! Thanks for your help. -Dan

I either get my parts off of eBay (cheaper) or from Scott Punton at A.P. Equiepment in Valley City, ND. The number is 1-800-400-2143.

For the tach repair, look in Hemmings, under Services, there are people who repair/rebuild gauges/instruments.

Case/IH will still have most if not all the parts you will be needing.
