I have a 51 M I would like to do a tune up on. Can anybody tell me what I need to do & what part numbers I need?

Your dist shoud be an I-H but get the # from it to be sure as it could also be a PRESTOLITE or DELCO REMY. All take different points. If it starts and runs leave it alone.

You can order tune up kits from this site. They have atoll free Phone number. Go to the top of the page and select the model then scroll down to electrical. and check for the kit you think you need. I always order by phone as then I know what the shipping will cost.

You can get a tune up kit at TSC.I dont know part no.They have points,condenser,rotar and ditributer caps. You will also need new spark plugs and wires.May want to adjust valves and clean or put new kit in carb,they are also available at TSC for about 22 dollars. Good Luck!

Carb kits and tune-up kits from TSC may be cheap, but that does not make them a bargain. Both are of inferior quality and quite often are incomplete.
