Does anyone out there know where we can obtain a replacement engine head for our 560? We ran into problems last year and this fall my uncle finally tore down the engine. Apparently we have a couple cracks in the engine head. Out 560 was our work horse - my uncle would like to get it up and running again. I'm having no luck finding replacement heads on the internet. Can anyone help? Any response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!! Laurie

My Dad found my replacement narrow front end at Gary's Implement just outside of Bridgeport Nebraska, they have a web site. My dad got it of a 560 diesel. I don't know how parted out it was. Ended up codting more to ship it to Oregon than the part cost. Dad said Merry Christmas, I'm happy, although the cost to pull the broken one and put in the new front end (I don't have heavy lifts etc. to do it on my own), pretty much made my plans for the winter out of the question. I was hoping to get the cam and head redone, and an exhaust header, oh well.

Hello Steve, Thanks for responding. We have a small farm in the Catskills of NY. We've come across a few 560's out there but they were gas rather than deisal. My uncle has literally been driving the country side looking for a replacement head. Thanks for the heads-up on the web site. I'll check it out. Hello to your Dad.
Laurie

You can have that head FIXED look around your area for someone that does a prosess called cold weldingthey can fix that head and it will last . When putting it back together install a new thermostat and when using the tractor allow atleast a 10 min. warm up and if the tractor is up to operating temp . allow a cooldown till the gauge is back in the cold range also install a new temp gauge and pay attenshion to it . If you are in the Ind. Oh. Ky. area then Dan Roberts can more then likely help out on a replacement head and his Ph.# is 1 800 367 8751 vary good people to deal with as i have knowen him for 25 years.

Thanks a bunch for the info. My uncle does a bit of welding - he may know someone around who does this coldwelding. I'll pass your recommendation on to him. We have a small family farm in the Catskill region of NY. Thanks again, Happy new year. Laurie

Where about are you located. Have a couple out here in the far northwest but shipping might kill the deal??? I know the local wrecking yard had at least one also the last time I looked. And I'm quite sure that Farmland tractor salvage in Tangent Oregon would have one. Migraine

Hello - well that's good news (that there's still Farmall tractor's around). Unfortunately we're located in the Catskill region of upstate NY. I'll mention your lead to my uncle - I think his interest will depend on the cost to purchase one of the tractor heads and the shipping. I'll see if I can't contact Farmland. Thanks again for the lead. Happy New Year. Laurie
