I have a 1964 806 that is totally restored. It has the original stile RD injector pump from IH. It was never changed over to the Roosa Master when IH had the dealers do so in the sixties, because of this I know that the tractor is that much more rare and I want to keep the pump on the tractor. My question is how can I ajust the pump to deliver more fuel. The tractor has an aftermarket M&W turbo kit, so it is getting enough air, I just want more fuel. The pump is totally different from the roosa master and I wouldn't know where to start. I know that this question will stump most poeple since the pump is rare, but if there is anyone out there that can help I would appreiciate it. This tractor is stricktly used for shows and pulling.

Thanks, Dave.

Now i know how to do it but unless ya have it on a Dyno or have the pump on the stand it may go from go to BLOW as the RD pump is more then capible of delivering way more then ya you could even guess . If it has the M&W hairdier on it it is already setting at 115 or more So when ya can get it on a Dyno then i will explain it further as to just tellen ya what screws to turn i will not give that info out as if you got carried away and it went yuck yucko Pueee then i am the ARRES HOLE that told ya . As i always say that when they go they go but when they GLOW THEY BLOW.

Tractor Vet: I had it on a dyno at a club meeting earlier this year, it ran 122 pto hp @ 2650 rpm under load. I would like to get a little more out of it if possible. We had an old Harvester dealer in the club, and he was going to set it up but he passed away a few months ago. I don't know if he had a few tricks up his sleave but he was going to give it a shot. He too said that I would be able to get a lot more out of it. If you could give me a little hint it would be most appreciated. Thanks, Dave.

well at 122 you are starten to push the limits for any field work now if ya are just going to play the 300 foot game and ya have the money to waste and willing to waste and engine on a pull for a seven dollar trophie then here ya go on the back side of the pump above the head there is a round cap with one small screw holding it on remove that cap and Back the adjustment out and from here on Baby your on your owen . The RD pump was built by ih as a means to get away from BUYING pumps from Rossamaster and bosh and it was designed to FUEL ALL I H Engines and all ya had to do is put the correct head on it weather it be a 4 banger or a V8 from the smallest to the largest and a littel setting on the fuel would do the job and i am telling ya you can put the fuel to her and when she goes she will go BUT when she glows she will blow. Just how much do you want to spend.

Thanks, I thought that is all that you could do to the pump itself. I think that you are talking about the tourque screw above the head. The cover is already off of it, and the screw is backed out to all but one or two threads. I don't want to spend the money for a a new engine and 361 parts as you know are not very cheap. This tractor is a showpeice first and a puller second. I have a picture of it in the tractor photos if you want to take a peek. I was wondering if it would need the .013 injectors with the 3100 lbs of pressure and if the would even help. Thanks, Dave.
