My neighbor bought it new, converted it to a jensing tractor, it has wide front that was very well made, straight tin, lights, fenders, good tires, has other jensing equipment. To sell or eles is going to have auction in spring. Looking to see what something like this is worth.
Serial Number 1540

Yes it is a high crop, does anyone know where the shop was or is in wisconsin, someone told me it is/was over by Edger, WI. Was place that converted them a IH dealer? If it was an IH dealer would it be considered factory? If it was would it be worth more? Does anyone know how many of them were converted?

Does your have the reduction gears. There would be a lever coming out of the bell housing on the left side below the battery box and then going near the shift lever. Some had a reduction gear mounted in the torque tube.

If the nonstock accessories are not cobbled together, and the tractor remains operational for general use, ooorrr if the tractor is well done and special purpose and collectable for its uniqueness, it may be worth $2000, It has no hydraulic (if engine is stock) and is limited by that. JimN

I have no idea what a "jensing tractor" might be, but a normal, running, Farmall B might be worth anywhere from $1,000 to $2,000 depending on location and condition.

The first Farmall B was serial number FAB 3675 (according to Guy Fay) so yours is not serial number 1540. 1540 is the governed speed of the engine.

what he means by jensing tractor is that the b was changed from the normal stock b to one that is used to harvest, plant, and cultivate jensing. jensing is a kind of root

Not trying to be the spelling police, but I think the proper spelling is Ginseng.

You are correct sir.
A lifetime of my Korean wife cramming that stuff down my neck confirms it, though I"ve never heard of a tractor setup for it.
