Weight of Farmall Super MTA Cub

Looking for confirmation of weights of a Farmall Super MTA and a Cub.

I have to go pick both up from the family farm next year.

I've got a 15k GVW gooseneck which can transport basically 10k payload.

Looks like the Super MTA can go from 5600 to 7250 lbs and the Cub is somewhere in the 2000-2500 range, so I should be OK, I think, transporting both at the same time. I should mention that none of the tires are fluid-filled, all are air-filled.

My business is machine shop machinery, so I'm well equipped as far as chain, binders, and have had many excursions with a loaded trailer before.

Thanks in advance your replies, and season's greetings!

I do not make a habit of hauling loads like this all the time but I did haul a SMTA with four sets of rear weights, a Farmall 504 with SIX sets of rear weights and a number 60 IH three bottom plow plus a number 311 IH mounted plow that you can't see, it was hitched to the 504. Gross weight was 31,000 pounds, we have platform scales at the farm. I only went 15 miles with this load to a plow day and that was far enough. The 504 weighs in at over 9,000 pounds with the loader and all the rear weights. I have no problems hauling two tractors with no implements, do it all the time and have taken two tractors as far as 500 miles away with no problems.

From what you have told us I would put the MTA at about 6500 and the cub even with weights and an attachment about 1800.

Depends on what all is bolted to the tractor, but you should be in good shape. I mean, if these tractors have a bunch of wheel weights on them, then you might be pushing the absolute limit, but figuring typical equipment, one set of weights, you'll have 1000-1500lbs of "wiggle room" with both tractors loaded.

After consulting digital pictures, the MTA has only a set of front wheel weights that appear very small. Nothing hung on the frame channels, and nothing on the rear. However the Cub has a 60" Woods Belly mower. Guess I have to check the weight of that...

That belly mower won't weigh much over 500#. Maybe not that much.

You might be pushing the limits just a bit, but you should be OK. I have hauled an H and an M Farmall at the same time on a 14,000# gooseneck behind a one ton dually.
