New part numbers?

The parts that I ordered from Carter and Gruenewald have part numbers that do not match the numbers in my "McCormick Parts Catalog for the Farmall Super A." Is there a cross over list that identifies the new #s with the old ones?

Merry Christmas!

One would think by now there would be a reference list available, obviously CNH has something to accomplish this task. Anyone have any ideas?

The substitute parts lists change quite frequently. The dealers have computer systems that help keep up with the changes. The updates are typically done by a service that does on-line updates. A printed substitute list would go out of date and approach uselessness quite rapidly.

Dear Greg,
The fact that we can still get parts from Case IH at all for these old tractors is a miricle to me. Parts diagrams are now on line , and if a reselling company takes the time to get the usable parts to you with a researched crossreference, at least they did the work. The only grief I see is if the tractor is intended to be absolutely correct, the numbers should match. In other cases the parts were improved, but replace the old directly. Good hunting, JimN
