Merry Christmas to everyone!
My sister recently found an old (probably around 1952)Progressive Farmer advertisement in a pile of my Great Aunt's keepsakes, of a Super C purchased from Worthington & Lunde in Rockford, IL. The ad included a picture of the IH service truck with the original owner and his son; Roy and Lowell Wishop of Route 6, Rockford, IL. Any chance of any of you know of this family? My sister framed the ad and gave it to me for Christmas, and I was just curious if they were still around and farming. Thanks,

I do rember going to Worthington and Lunde for a pancake day, must have been in 1959 when I was 5. they were located right down town Rockford on state st. across from the faust hotel. Must have closed up in 1960. dad bought a 560D in 1959. Lunde whent on to Just selling IH trucks. My uncle Walt was a good friend of Lunde, I remeber having lunch with them many years ago. Philip

Thanks everyone for the responses! I may post this question again in a couple of days. I think everyone was busy with the Holidays.
Thank you all for the additional information. It makes the ad a little more personal.

I live west of Rockford about twenty miles. I've got a copy of that add, but never heard of the dealer. Just today my brother inlaw gave me the C and Super C complete advertising book for Xmass. It's got some neat stuff in it like a guy in Georgia with 120 acres, 13 kids and a Super C as his only tractor or a farmer in Lancaster Co. Pa. that farms 205 acres with one Super C. The book is 110 pages of adds, lots of machinery pictures, some dealership, parts room and service dept. pictures too. Jim

Why dont you go to ancestry.com or genealogy.com and look up that name and see if someone there knows them. I bet they would like to know.
