I was using my H quite abit today to pull logs, and I think to day was the the day that the clutch said game over. I have the it adjusted all the way out to and I cant get the clutch to stop moving, thus alot of gear grinding. The clutch does not slip at all, but it wont release. So I was thinking that I need a clutch and thow out bearing. but will I need a pressure plate? and how hard is this to do on the H? the Only clutch experence I have is with Allis WC. Is it harder than that? any triks or hints?

Thanks for the Help

Andrew

Well, you might as well pull it apart because a worn out clutch is most likely the problem. You better machine the flywheel or else the disk won't sit fully on the flywheel and that means more problems later.

The symptom you describe is a problem with the release mechanism. The clutch wears out by getting tighter all the time. so the issue may be fingers, throwout, or pivot shaft. JimN

There is alot of things that can happen in a clutch. if your free pedal travel was adjusted right then all of a sudden you had more your throwout bearing disintegrated. If free travel is right but still wont release your pressure plate is defective.YOU can replace the clutch in a h or m by removing the hydraulic pump and working overhead, providing your flywheel didnt get to hot and your ringgear is in good shape.
