Carp: You bring out a good point here. In all the years my dad and I farmed we never gave serious consideration to C, SC, 200, 230, etc. Just too much tractor for that little engine. The H, SH, 300 and 350 were just as manuverable, thus one may as well have engine enough to handle 36" or 38" tires. I've seen my brothers 230 get enough traction on tilled soil to kill the engine in low gear. A 130 or 140 will spin out in low gear before running out of power. If your going to have a small engine you may as well have a small tractor. Any of the offsets are at least 2' shorter, very convenient in close quarters. Back in the 50s we ran a 7' semi-mount mower, would bolt up to either 130 or 300. The 130 would mow hay faster than 300. They are also very nice on a rake. Even when I was round baling hay in the 70s, 130 and SA still did the raking, now it took two rakes and those two tractors to keep up with the pace set by the round baler. You know something, one hell of a bunch of 8, 10 and 12 year old kids raked that hay and learned to do something useful with a tractor. Dad was the hay rake teacher, they had to do it right, he took the time to make sure they did. I've seen him taking the time too show some very young, never saw any diapers but it was close. Most of dad's students are now in their mid 40s, and some of the best drivers around. Those little tractors always had a place on a multi-tractor farm.
