Was passing by the local bone yard, stopped to see if they had a throttle handle for my 1256, to replace the goofy contraption that is on there now. So there I stand, in the rain, tryin to get this handle off. No luck. Can"t get the throttle handle to budge on that shaft. From what I can see, there is just a roll pin that needs to be punched out (done), and the handle should slide off. Going back in the near future with a gear puller and a few other tools. Only problem is, I may have to pull the steering wheel off, so I can remove the plastic that covers the tilt mechanism, so I can get that darn puller on there. Any short cuts??

Call 1-800-533-5304. They can ship you one that's already off. Don't have to stand in the rain

Should be a cap with a spring and nut under the cap at the base of the handle. Don't need a puller, just a socket.
