Hugh,
I suppose it is your fault. I read your post about the implements you had built for your offset Farmalls, so I had to get busy. I posted a picture in the Implement photos of my home-made one point hitch platform carrier. See what you think! I have also built a front blade, a lift pole, and I changed my regular drawbar disk harrow to a one point hitch.I also have the "slip" or dirt scoop that is one point and a one point two bottom turning plow. My Super A, 100 and my 130 all have the fast hitch, so it works our real well.

Lewis: I'll accept the blame, but no more than 90%. The rest goes to the guy with the torch, welder, saw and wrenches. The platform carrier is a nice job. Do you have photos of your front blade, and the disk. I always like to see other peoples ideas.

Further to this, do your realize there is no cure until you have the complete set; A, SA, SA1, 100, 130 and 140. Once you have all 6 and 25-30 implements, you'll be cured. My diagnosis is, you have an offset infection or is that affection, whichever, you'll survive. Take care and collect fast hitch forks, you just never know when you'll need one.

About the complete set, you are absolutely right. I had an A and a AI. As far as the A1 goes, that is probably going to be harder to acquire. The 140 may come later.
The one point fork is what I made from the scrap fork lift fork, I don't have to worry about it bending.

Lewis: Your right about the SA1, I've never seen one only in a photo a guy sent me last winter. They look a bit odd with SA styling and the raised hood. I guess we'll have to do a creation like building one using 100 chassis and SA sheet metal. At least keep up with MTA guys, and they are going to all that expence of building MTA's out of 400's something not even rare. In fact the 400 is almost as rare.

I've fabricated a few fast hitch forks from cold roll steel. It works well and they don't bend. That forklift fork is a good idea as you can probably make use of the taper by cutting from right location on fork. I've also used a few forks from SC, 200 mowers, welded 1/2" on bottom and pads on side. They work and one can usually get mower for scrap price, and sell for scrap.

The only SA1 I have seen is the one at Red Power Roundup in Lebanon, TN in 2005. I believe it was part of the collection that was owned by one of the larger farms that had several restored tractors. I always keep my eyes open looking for one just in case.
