Got a 400 international and right above the carb. it wants to frost up....anybody know why it does this and what to do to remidy the situation...Tom

Believe it or not it does that all year round but you don't notice it as much in the summer becasue the manifold warms up faster. All you need to do is let it warm up a bit if it causes any problems with the way it runs

The frost is caused by the air/gasoline lixture expanding and cooling after passing through the carburetor's venturi.

The actual visible frost shows up the worst in cold, damp weather.

It is NORMAL, nothing NEEDS to be done about it.

Yes ALLAN their carbs on their cars done the same thing but they couldnt see under the hood nor were they around a tractor before.
