i have the carb off my 1941 H and the only numbers i can find appear to be cast numbers.6212-DB on the bottom and 6213-DA on the top half. I know it is IH carb as it is cast into it. What kit should i get?

Manuals are ordered at this time.

all the screws are stuck solid also. I twisted 2 of them off just getting the top off. I'm affraid the adjustment screws will twist off also. I don't know if soaking it will get down in far enough to loosen them.

One of my screws broke off too, I had enough left to get visegrips on to get it out. The brass idle jet broke right off very easy. I ran a small tap into the hole alittle at a time & backed it out. It slowly keep pulling the brass threads out a little at a time. The new one screwed right in. I was very scared to, but it worked out. Good Luck!

Get the kit for the 50981 gasoline carb. Heat from a torch is your best friend when working on rusty carbs.

Now see theres another reason to make a road trip out this way. I have an H carb laying around in my shop. LOL. Good way if you can get away with it is to put the carb in your house oven and heat it up and then cool it down again. The heating and cooling helps brake things loose. But be sure to send the wife out for a couple hours and also have a couple cans of glade to help hide the smell from doing that

Aahaw, the wife just happens to be gone for a couple of days. she won't even know, i'll just let the dogs in the house to mask the odor.

Another $200 invested in a good carb will result in a $400 tractor. Still dirt cheap.

And $1,000 invested in a good running H is still very, very, reasonable. You could easily sell it for $1,500.
