My 1466's injection pump is stuck at wide open. I would like to move the tractor into the shop, so the pump can be removed and rebuilt, so.....
Is there any way I can 'trick' the pump to stay at idle while I move the tractor? I hate to let it sit outside with no pump on it, but I hate to start the tractor and have it go screaming to 2600 rpm on a cold motor.

Thanks in advance for any help

If you don't have a place to send the pump you might check into my brother's website at www dot dldiesel dot net. A couple of guys on here have had him re-build their Model 100 pumps and I think that they are happy with the results.

DO NOT start that engine until you"ve got the pump fixed. A malfunctoning injection pump governer is totally unpredictable. It could put the engine into a total runaway without warning. I witnessed this once about a year ago on a brand new Deere compact utility tractor, sounded like a turbocharged weed whip! Put your 14 in nuetral and push it inside with another tractor. You"re sure there"s no problem with the linkage?

If you have another tractor you can tow it close to your shop then take a heavy plank and back the tow tractor up close the 1466 and push it into the shop using that heavy plank. Just be careful.
We had heavy eye bars that you could use a clevis on both ends of the eye bar and then connect the clevis to the tractors drawbars. Hal
