Need an internal gear for a 300 U hydraulic pump

I picked up a H today with a 300U engine in it. I wanted it cause it had the live hydraulic pump installed and we need it for our particular application. We still farm with the darn things.

Only problem is they took out a "little round gear or something in it to allow it to continue being used to drive the distributer, but not the pump." And he thinks he threw the part away--YEDA!

Anyone got some internal parts for this pump they are willing to part with? I don't have a manual yet so can't be more specific.

Thx skk - Big Red Fan

I have a 300u and just went and looked at a new pump (I thought I needed), just to be sure. There are only two gears, the drive gear and the driven gear. The drive gear is on a imput shaft that also drives the distributor The driven gear I believe does the pumping. I think you will need to take yours apart and see what you need as there are other parts also.
Re: your crank question. Mine did not come with a crank, and I needed to turn #1 cylinder to top dead center to remove/install my hydraulic pump. I used 5/8" rod and a 5/16" pin on the end and I am able to turn the engine to get what I need (with the plugs out).

One has to wonder why they did that? If they had no use for the hydraulics, they could have just left it alone. I'd be willing to bet the pump is toast =(.

If someone can get ya the parts for next to nothimg, then I'd go for it, but just dont be too surprised if the pump is shot.
