The 706 metal emblem that mounts on the side pannel, close to the radiator....the background is black and the numbers 706 have a painted area within the number... is that area painted the farmall / blanc (cream) or a more true white? Thanks !!!

OK, My 706 is a late model, my dad always told me it was a 706 with a 756 engine. We bought it new in 67 or 68. It has the German diesel in it.
It has never been painted and always in the shed.
The interior of the letters is quite a bit "whiter" than the cream color of the panel it is on. Best I can describe it is white. I know for a fact that none of this has been repainted or changed and is original.

Good luck, Gene

I belive it should be IH-901 White.

Not the IH-935 White. (Which some people refer to as a cream.)

Well the 706D is about a quarter mile away in the haybarn, it's night and about 20 degrees and I am too tired right now to go look. I'll try to remember in the morning though and give you a shout back. I guess I need to go down in the basement and bone out a deer I shot.. Would rather set and watch TV but I was raised to not waste anything we killed.

Goodnight, Gene

Some of you more experienced guys can help me here. I can never seem to be able to post a reply without it ending up right below the original message. How do you reply to a post without you reply being out of sequence? If I am the last guy out of many to reply, I dont want mine ending up right below the original post. Am I just dense or what?

Thanks, Gene

If you reply to the original post, yours will be the first in line. If you reply to someone who has already replied, yours will be first under that reply. That cannot be changed.
