Does any one know where there is information on the P & O plow company. I bought what looks like a chisel plow, but I cannot find any info as to what this thing is. I have looked in 3 differant IH books, but find nothing on it. It is a trip lift, has wheel clutches on both wheels. it is only about 3-4 foot wide. I do not have a picture or I would post it, but it is something that has been bothering me since I got it this last spring. Any ideas as to where I might find info showing some of the P & O equipment? Thanks for any info.
Jim

Parlin and Orendorff was the oldest and third largest plow company in the country when purchased in 1919 by IH. They produced many products and you should be able to find lots of info. The P & O plant became the Canton works for IH and operated untill the early 1980's and stood looming large on the skyline of Canton IL untill destroyed by fire about 10 years ago.

Bill,
I agree with you, I should be able to find a lot of info on them, but I have looked on line, look in book stores, cannot find any in dept info on the P&O company. Just cannot figure that out why info is so scarce. I am in the process now of going through the Wisconsin historical society web site and see if there is anything there. Thanks for the input.

P&O was a company that IHC bought back in 1919.

Since you don't have a picture to post, you can start by looking in the Implement Photos or Vintage Photos on the left of the screen if you haven't already, maybe there is something in there that looks like what you have.

Other suggestion is to take a picture and post it.

I have pictures on my camera of it, but am not smart enought to figure how to get pictures from point A(camera) to Point B (here) I have looked at the implement section here, have looked in 3 IH books, looked for any info on the P & O company. The only thing I have not looked in is Wendell's implement book, not sure if I have a copy of that one. Got too many books to keep track of all of them. But thanks for the input, it is not really that important to know whatI have, I am just curious as to what is was designed to do.
