Banjo, congrats on bringing your H home. You mention you will need books for it. I just bought this one, and it's taught me a lot. I highly recommend it.

Just a little FYI: I'm buying a couple Tractor Mac books for my 2 year old. He obsesses about tractors now. So the books will go along well with his pedal tractor.

Once you get into that tractor you may find it enjoyable, but it "ain't no comedy". Buy the IH manuals and an IT manual, you will need all of them.

Hey Mike , you wasn't refering to Tractor Mac arrives at the farm was you? Thats what that link took me to.

I almost ordered the owners and service manual today. Don't really need them right now but would like to know what all the levers and rods go to. This is a completely different beast than i'm used to.I've been on JD,long,Allis Chalmer,Super A ,Cub,Case,Massey Ferguson and they all are pretty easy to figure out. But this one isn't running right now and i can't tell what lever does what and it bugs me to no end.

"all the levers?" I didn't think an H had enough levers to be confusing.

Most of the levers can be traced because they clearly go to a part of the tractor: Choke is the one that comes from the carburetor. Belt pulley gear shift comes straight from the top of the belt pulley gearbox. PTO rod is the one that comes up from the PTO. "Belly pump" hydraulics come up from the belly of the tractor. Which ones am I missing?

Nat , i just went and loaded it up and hauled it home and unloaded it. I have not drove an H and just seen it is configured different from the others i have drove. Yes i can trace them and see where they go. I don't need any smart replys. I will buy the manuals and do the rebuild myself. I just don't need them right now as i am working on another tractor.

None of my other tractor has a belly pump, so I am not familiar with that kind of set up.
