Been looking for the tri-flo as was suggested to lube the starter drive on my 300u, after cleaning it with brake cleaner. We have 4 auto parts stores in town, none of them have it.
One store has an aerosol that has both teflon and silicone in it, is that a suitable substitute?
Or, where can I get tri-flo and is it an aerosol?
Thanks for reading.

For years I've always has a can of Tri-Flo in the garage. Used it up and tried a few auto parts stores. Nope. I didn't understand. Went on line to find it easily. IN THE U.K. with U.S. outlets. Figured that's why it's no longer on the shelf here in U.S. (or at least I haven't found any). I will probably buy an alternative with TFE. For delicate applications, I don't like to use lubricants with petro as the carrier. It tends to attract dust and dirt. Lubricants with an alcohol carriers tends to not do that and evaporate quickly leaving just the TFE.

Tri-Flo is indeed an aerosol can. It's also an ideal starter drive lube.

Auto parts stores around here no longer carry Tri-Flo either. However the local "old time" full-line hardware store still does. You can also find it at any good bicycle shop.

Break free or anything with PTFE will do the same. Silicone is not a good lubricant for steel against steel.

Polytetrafluoroethylene - more commonly known as Teflon!
