I decided to drain the dirty fluid out of the hydraulic pump and replace it...will someone please look in the book and see what the factory specified as replacement...and I see no sight gage to see when it is full...just fill it to the top?

If you have belly pump it is a very basic type pump and was designed to run on non detergent motor oil but it would probaly be happy with Hy Tran or peanut oil or anything in between.

Original specs called for non-detergent 30, 20, or 10 wt., depending on if you are using it in warm weather, cooler weather, or really cold. The belly pump will hold about 6 qts., but you may need more than 6 qts depending on the implement you are using. If there is not enough oil, the implement will not raise to the top. If you have too much oil, the excess will squirt out the vent hole in the fill cap. Other than making a mess, no harm will be done.

I think you should use Hytran hydraulic oil. My manual doesn't list the capacity of the hydraulic
system on an H, it does list it for the Super A and C as 8.25 pints. Hal

Which unit Tom, (and stage if SH) the regular H belly is about 6-1/2" down from the top of the stock filler/cap pipe. Many of the dip sticks are gone. JimN
