My super m won"t stay running after it starts in cold weather. It will start, run real slowly and rough with the choke closed then die and won"t try to start until 15 minutes or so. Will die if choke is opened any or if throttle messed with. Then does same thing. I sprayed into air cleaner intake starting fluid and it would try to run then stop again. Am I getting any fuel?

Are you shuttingthe gas off when the tractor is not in use? It could be that the carburetor is too full and when you open the throttle or take the choke off it dumps in a charge of gas and floods the engine. Try keeping the gas shut off when not in use and choke it after turning on the gas on and keep it choked enough to keep it running until it warms up.

if your fireing is less than great when cold, they will start best with no choke and no throtle just idle. it will die 2 or 3 times then it will keep running. cold temp. and weak fire and too much gas makes for a bad day. RP

Could be a couple of things wrong. I would first pull the drain plug and see if you have a good steady flow of gas for at least 5 minutes. Catch the gas with a funnel etc. If you have a good flow there then you probably need to either clean the carb or open up the main jet a 1/2 turn or more
