I was at my Sis's Boyufriends place checking out his John Deere Tractor 18,000$ with a tiller and FEL. Besides these things being overpriced now adays, I noticed that the rods for the hydraulics are like dark gray, not chrome? They feel weird too by all means. What is this new crap? Something cheaper to rust sooner or what? It's always about saving a dime or 2 I'm sure. Hopefully I'm totalyl wrong, but you guys know how it is nowadays, anything to increase performance is just an excuse for decreasing longevity and costs...

I TOTALLY WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE!!

With the Dumbing down of america and the make it easy, no manual to read society, it's happening with little resistance.

I can't stand stupid idiots... sorry.

I'm sure it's a mixture of making things so easy you dont need a manual, and manufacturers realizing 90% of people are illiterate and dont even pick up the manual.

I get so tired of, "Hey Jay can you look at my TV, or can you look at this or that." 9 times out of 10 it's something the manual tells you in the troubleshooting section. What is wrong with this world, people spend their hard earned money on stuff and never bother reading the manual, mind you they are getting harder to understand since EVERYTHING is made in China.

I work at whirlpool in findlay, OH, we make dishwashers, over half of our pump motors are LG motors. OUR #1 competitor is LG, where is the F'n LOGIC in THAT!!!

Something got to give...
Maybe in 08 things will change!

These new rods dont seem as smooth as the old chrome ones. Tht bothers me, is dirt going to scratch the crap out of them and render the owner a leaky cylinder in a matter of a few years? Who knows, time will tell =)

Jay

I don't know for sure what the material is but the cylinders on the new Kinze planters are not crome either.

And if they weren't OK Kinze would not use it.
