I've looked through all the information I have on my 46 M for the engine specs.I wanted to know if anyone had the spec for the maximum allowable warpage on the cylinder head before it needs resurfacing.I have a C-264 engine manual for a SM,it gives you every other necessary valve spec, but nothing on warpage.

Anybody know? Thanks in advance.

If you have it off have it resurfaced and have it gone through and then it will last another 60 years.

Not more than .001 per foot. More than that ,it should be resurfaced.

Around here you can get a 4 banger head resurfaced for $15. If I had any doubts, I would do it. Better do it now, then to have to buy new gaskets when u realize u need to rip the head back off, that aint no fun... =)

.0035 down the length, and .001 across would seem about right. Thanks for the input.
