I have a 1943 Farmall H x3. Can I burn gasoline all the time? Does it go in the tank closest to the driver?

Thank you for your help.

Put gas in both tanks so you can get back to the barn.

Run it on regular 87 octane gasoline. Chances are at some time in the last 63 years that the engine has been rebuilt with the higher compression pistons anyway. Either way, gas is just fine.

It's a pretty safe bet that the tractor has already been running on straight gasoline for about the last 30 to 40 years.

87 octane gasoline is fine, in the big tank. You wouldn't be able to run very long on the little tank.
