Pretty warm this morning doing chores, 23 degrees.. Thursday morning it was 17 below zero and we had 6 inches of snow on the ground from Wednesday.. It was 13 above when I got home from work Thursday night. Just for grins I walked over to the SM. Turned on the gas, Pulled the choke and pushed down the clutch.. She fired before the first full turn.. Then I tried to catch the soup can.. : ).. Set the choke and let her run for 30 minutes to warm up... Boy she starts so good with that rebuilt starter,, Tallperson

I'm halfway between Burlington and Iowa City, IA. Got exactly...nada, last night. Came to work in Muscatine, and nothing here. Seems about 15 miles east of here, there's 6 inches of snow and a buddy who drove in from about 15 miles further east says he got 8-10" last night.

22F and windy here right now at 1:00 PM Friday.

Normally I would throw out how warm California is in comparison. And that me be true for the southern part of the sate. But here in the central valley it's in the 30's/40's in the early a.m. when I go to work, and gets up into the 60's during the day.

*brrrr*

That may be true Tom...but if you have never ridden a snowmobile...you have no idea how much fun you are missing! Come on up! We have cute girls at the ski hills too!

I'm east of Columbia, about two hours southeast of you. When I got to the mill 'bout 6:30 last night it was 71* by the Tahoo's thermometer. That's all gonna change tonight.
Good luck, Wm

Detroit Lakes, MN started in the single digits yesterday. I was outside working on my truck the night before replacing a fuel injector. I figure when it gets cold I'll move things indoors. C'mon up north! Makes you appreciate summer a whole lot more :)

Thermometer read exactly 0 degrees(F) when I left to take my daughter to school this morning. Lucky all the tractors were plugged in!

Warmed up to upper 20's today, but right now at 9:39PM CST it shows 12 above. We're in North Central Nebraska. Not a drop of snow on the ground and none in sight....sure could use some moisture!!!!

In central Iowa it's 13 degrees with negative wind chills, no snow thank god. And as grandpa says on Grumpy Old Men "colder than a witches' tity" thst's what I'm think when I come inside.

Hey Dennis, you ever get up to the big city of Casar? I have some friends there. I worked and lived in Shelby in he mid seventies. I still keep in touch with a couple of buddies. Hold on to anything you don't want to blow away. Breezy here now near Greensboro with a shower and the temp is in the upper sixties. The wind and cold are on their way.

My buddy in Casar has a Long that he bought here near me. I hauled it down there to him. I used to know a few folks in the area that farmed, but that was 30 years ago. I have lost contact with them. I have been to the West End farm equipment place a couple of times when in the area and bought some Kioti stuff. I was there in June of this year to look at what was described as a BN Farmall. It was a B. I made an offer for it all the while not really caring if I got it or not. They had gotten an offer for $100 more than mine, so I told them to sell it to the other person. I am not surprised to hear that Shelby is playing for the football championship. SHS as well as Burns and Crest had good teams when I lived there. Have a good 'un!

I'll trade you temps but not locations. LOL. We have had sleet all day and by morning will probably have 6-12 inches of snow. About 15-20 degrees out right now
