The 330 is a lot lighter duty than the 300. The 330 is basicly a standard Super C and the 300 is a standard H.

The back half of the 330 was essentially the same as the 350. It had 5 speeds, TA, live PTO etc. When the next series came out, the 330 was the basis for the 340. The 240 used a back half that was derived from the C.

wegman: 300 has a C-169 engine, while 330 has C-135. Don't think there is much difference in rest of tractor other than hitch will be draft control on 330. 330 is actually part of the 30-50 series and 350 actually replaced the 300. The 330 was added to the lineup giving another tractor hp class between 230 and 350. IH had beefed up the larger tractors leaving a much larger gap between 230 and 350 than there was back in the day of the C and H.

The 330 is about 3 inches shorter than the 300 and 350 due to the smaller eng.
