Tony--great collection! I had a planter like that one and even though it was ancient--it did a great job! Of course that was back in the dark ages--1960-64 timeframe. Wish I could find my old H as it was the first thing I bought after my Grandfather died and I farmed his 135 acres! Howerer, Allen (Harley) has come to my rescue and will soon have a 1948 H!! Barn's getting full--but you can never have too many tractors! Great collection and GREAT restoration stable!! Hail Purdue!! Steve

Steve,

I may have to pick your brain on how to use that planter when the time comes. I even found a roll of check wire for it! Congratulations on the H. Send me photos if you can.

With kind regards (and Hail Purdue!)

Tony

Hi Matt,

I was working on the plow just this afternoon. Getting the rear wheel done so I can get the plow out of the shop. Once that's done, it won't be long. Can't wait to send you the final pics.

Hey, speaking of cleaning up your backyard. If you have any old IH implements that you are selling reasonable, let me know!

Tony

Thanks Mike. My Dad just found out that some of the bearings in the transmission of the M are shot, so he's saving up money to buy those at $350.00. I'm going to try to get back to working on the basket case C this winter sometime.

Keep me posted on your H.

Tony

I was checking out your pictures and once again noticed the Farmall "C". Have you you complete yet? I can't believe it is the same tractor we look at and turn down. Gary G. Pewamo Mi.

Hi Gary,

I haven't completed it yet, because I have been spending all my time on implements which I plan to use this spring. I am going to start up working on it again this winter. At this point all I need to do is bebuild the engine and finish the sheet metal work. Can't wait to hear it start for the first time!

Take care,

Tony

Hi Don,

I use those layered sand paper wheels for my 4" grinder, as well as braided wire brushes for my drill (especially for the hard to reach areas, because the wire brushes come in all sizes). You go thru a lot of sand paper wheels at $8 a pop, and it takes a long time, but it really does a good job. I think it does better than most sand-blasting set-ups.

With kind regards,

Tony
