Cheapest and easiest repower for a Farmall H?

If you are looking to increase horsepower, buy a running 300 or 350 and swap the engine into it.

If you want to increase efficiency, there is no cheap or easy way to do that.

cheapest? ha ha, well, compression.

1) re-ring $160, re-sleeve if necessary $ ???
2) have the cylinder head rebuilt, $300
3) tune up the governer

I would focus on compression. rings, head(valves) governer

Now that depends what kind of power you want and of course the use when done. Anything from new sleeves pistons to a large cu in car or deisel engine.
