Stew, I got your email the other day. Just been so strung out I just haven't answered you back, Yes, I am still into LPs. Just traded for 2 SMLP. 1-Stage I, 1-Stage II, also picked up an ol M LP conversion, Stuck, single front,Behlen PS, very, very rough!
Looks like you are hard at it picking up finds here and there. Later,
John A.

Hey CNKS, Have you seen any 54 Super MDs? There were 5199 Super MDs made total, so if you divde that number into the total Super Ms made it comes out to be 8.5% were made Diesel. In 1954 there were 650 total Super Ms made so, 8.5% would be about 52 tractors. My 2 cents. your thoughts.? Thanks Stew

Sorry I can't remember for sure,I'm thinking around $4000, but may be off. What caught my eye and made me remember tractor was the serial #. It was real close to ending production #. I was sure interested but tractor was out of distance for me.

I haven't seen one. All I know is in Guy Fay's data book. Production numbers are hard to come by -- your guess is as good as any.

Buy Guy's Letter Series book from Amazon.com. etc, or almost any book store -- you will get many answers from this site. Yours is a 1954, Guy says 5199 MD's were produced. Followed the MD, predecessor of the Super MDTA, 400, 450, 560 diesels (560 is 6 cylinder direct start). I assume it is a stage 2 -- live hydraulics, battery under seat. Worth some money if in good shape, particularly if the engine is in good condition -- it is expensive to repair.
