The bucket on my 300U does not want to lift after the fluid heats up. I haven't checked the filter yet, due to being a pain. Any other suggestion for this problem before I get into it?
THANKS.

I think you guys may be a bit high on the price of a new pump. I bought a new aftermarket pump last summer for $510.00. Still not a good deal, as it is sitting on a shelf as I did not need it!

Sounds like a weak pump. I have a friend that has a 450 that does the same thing and we found he needs a new pump. Hes been putting it off because a rebuilt pump[ is $600 and a new one from IH is $1200.

I'm with allan on this. As the fluid warms up its viscosity changes and the fluid becomes thinner, allowing it to pass through any clogged filter easier. As for the cylinder, if they are one way cyllinders and they leak past the rod packing, you should notice oil on the rod, as if the packing is shot, the wiper seals probably arent too far behind them.
More then likely the pump. I would check it for pressure deadheaded when cold and when warm.
Hopefully its something else, since a rebuilt pump can be upwards of 6-700 easily =(
I've decided if mine goes out on me, I'm either going to sell the tractor, or get a belt driven pump and fab up a bracket/pulley.

A filter problem usually shows up more so when the oil is cold.

I'd be for looking at the lift cylinders or the pump. Classic wobbled out pump symptom.
