I didn't think these filters were so hard to find. Standard oval shaped filter, bypass screen fits in one side. Might have to get napa to bring in all three that are listed in there book.

These filters are $ 18.75 each at our case-IH dealership. I"ll sell one to you if it will get you going...have no problem shipping them to Canada.....

Napa 1469 is the oblong for the std pump
1470 is for the 17 gpm pump and is 1 inch thicker.

Well first off ya need to know if it is and earlie one or late . And then when in doubt go to your local Case I H store and take your old one with ya then take that Part # and cross ref. this is not rocketsicence . . The earlie ones had the two donuts that you put into a metal case that had a fine screen around them the late was the one that had the bypass screen that fit into the hole. Don't know about your area but around here the case i h dealer's price on filters is cheaper then NaPA. As we all by our cummins filters for our dodges there along with all our tractor filters and we don't waiste our time tryen to cross ref. this or that.

Ya, i sure wouldn't think this is rocket science. A caseih dealer that wants to look up a 40 year old hyd. filter? Thats a good one. I have been sluffed off for over an hour just because they needed a kiss a$$ session with a big customer. Only then to be sent by them to napa because they can't be bothered. The problem is napa lists three filters for a 660 diesel and they have no pictures of them. My old filter came from them and does not have a number on it. My filter is oblonged, little over 2 inches thick, circular bypass valve and screen that fits into hole in outside edge of filter. My tractor is a late 660d with no power steering.

Mark: I'd go right to CaseIH or at least a farm store. From reading discussion, folks in the US must have far better NAPA stores than we have here in Canada. I can't say as I've ever found a NAPA employee very good on tractors
