Hi most likely it is Diesel fuel leaking at the front seal on the drive shaft of the fuel injection pump. The seal is about $8.00 but have to remove injection pump to replace. Have replaced 2 on our 454 over the last 30 years. Low sulphur Diesel fuel does not lube the pump as well, requires adding Diesel fuel conditioner or tablespoon of engine oil with evert fill up.

I have had this problem before on a 674, it was diesel, and it was caused by a faulty thermostart (cold start aid) in the inlet manifold weeping.

Hi, it's no way for the HY-tran to go to the engine, on a 674. Check if the engine oil is thinning by the fuel. On that engine, the coolant leak by the O ring, at the sleeve base. Loose the oil pan plug to check if it have coolant in the oil. Bernard le mécano Québec Canada
