I have a 1941 BN and checked serial number which is FABN 14504. By this number my understanding this is the 4th tractor made in 1941. Please advise.

Think you asked this question a couple of weeks ago but used serial # FABN 15504. Let me know if this is incorrect.

Something doesn't add up. BN serial numbers were mixed in the same serial number series as th A,B,& AV. 14504 would be a 1940, not 1941, but Guy Fay's IH Tractor Data Book says that the very first BN was 39715 & that the FABN prefix wasn't used until 48351.

My guess is that you're missing a digit on your serial number.

If you know this, I will withdraw it, but single front wheels were an option on the B and BN, that is a single front does not make it a BN. If the serial you gave is correct, that is if the seat hasn't been changed, it is a B. Assuming original seat and engine, the engine serial matches the chassis serial.
