My father-inlaw has a B that has a cracked block on the manifold side.First,does anyone have an engine for it? Second, does a 140 block,use the same crank and cam as the B. I need advice.I live in southwest lower michigan. THANKS FOR THE HELP IN ADVANCE. MATT

I have an engine in a 1946 A which runs very good but needs carb. I bought tractor for sheet metal. Will sell wtih everything including pressure plate, clutch, manifold, oil filter, actually complete engine. Just needs to be pulled out of tractor which I will do. Please advise.

If that crack is behind the carburator, it may be able to be repaired without too much trouble. It is in a water passage that breaks when it freezes without antifreeze in the block.

Lots of A,B,C blocks have this crack.

you might look into having the block repaired behind the manifold cracks pretty comon on those engines
