How do you turn the fuel pump up on a 1486.

On top of the pump is a cover with 4- 7/16ths bolt heads.

Remove that cover.

There is a threaded rod with a slot in the end under this cover.

Loosen the jam nut on this threaded rod while holding a screw driver in the slot so it doesn't turn.

The jam nut also has a lock washer that you have to straighten the ears on before you loosen that jam nut.

After loosening the jam nut turn the threaded rod out to turn up the fuel.

On my 1086 each round is from 10 to 25 hp so it doesn't take much to go up fast.

Hope this all makes sense. If not ask more questions.

Gary
