Hey, just got done with the corn crop for 2006! My dad farms a small patch in southern Indiana and I help out when I can. The corn made near 160 bu/acre, which is a lot for us. We run a 715 IH diesel combine and a 4 row head. We had her workin hard tonight, throwing a few sparks when we gave her a breather. I always love harvest time. Crisp air, long nights out in the fields. We till with a 1256 turbo and plant with 656 gas (see topic below to help me with this tractor). How'd everone else make out this year?

Best corn around e central SD was 80 bu. Worst was 2.5. The guys who planted late ( after 15 May) missed the terrible heat of 115+ when much of the early corn was hit while tasseling.
