I can email the Instruction Manual for the disassembly, inspection, seal installation and reassembly of the pump if you would like. It is a handy piece of literature to have. Sid.

when you get the pump off look on the side that was against the block and write that number down. If you decide to overhaul the pump it will have a suffix number,01,02,03,04,05. the last two numbers is the suffix. depending on which one it is dictates which seals to use.

If i was going to replace one 0-ring i would replace them all while i had it off.

Chicago-Rawhide may have a seal too. You can call them at 1-800-882-0008 to find your nearest store. Hal

Ok i got the pump taken apart, the smooth shaft has no grooves, the other day when i got done using it the oil was a little over full nothing bad, but this morning when i went out there was no hyd and all the hyd fluid went into the engine, the tractor has been sitting all summer, could have a seel been craked from sitting then when i started using it break right out? I think the seal is completly gone, is there sopposed to be seels inside of the cover or body berings? When i have that smooth shaft out i can move it back and forth, but not side to side, is there sopposed to be a seel on the top or bottom sides of thoses?, when i look down the part of the pump that the shaft came out of all i can see is one seel and there looks like there is a spot for another behind it, is there sopposed to be one there?

Thanks for all your help!

It is the seal on the hyd. pump.
Be sure the shaft is smooth when replacing the seal.If there is a groove I think you can get a speedy sleeve for it.

there is two types of seals used one takes an o-ring the other takes a small seal and you wont know which until it is apart. If the shaft has a groove where the seak runs you will need a speedy sleeve to repair the grove.

You need to drain the touch control, pull the hydraulic lines off, remove the pump and seperate the assembly. The seal is an o-ring that rides on the driven pump shaft, The o-ring is available from Case IH. I also have another supplier if they dont want to be bothered.
Gordon Rubber & Packing Co Inc. Derby, Ct 203-734-7152

Good Luck!
