Looking for starter brushes for my 300u. My local IH dealer can't get em, nor does this site have them. Anyone know who has them?

Thanks guys, got them. Thought if this form didn't have them, and my IH dealer couldn't get them, they would be tough to find. Stopped at a local hydraulic shop today that does some electrical and they had them, $2.52. With the replies on here, knew I would find em. They are in the starter now, wanted it done before snow and colder weather. One brush was sticking out fo the holder only about 1/16th of an inch, think it was time. Thanks again.

6v starter part number 362488R91

12v starter part number 365806R91

Any parts store should have what you need.

Or check with an Auto Electric, where they rebuild these everyday.

Any local starter/alternator shop should have 'em. Those brushes were used in MANY different Delco starters of that era.

Just bring the old brushes in and they can match them up.

What is the make (Prestolite or Delco-Remy) and part number on the starter?

Okay, it is listed as a 6-volt DR taking FILCO brush set R-37X. About 70% of the old tractors of all makes using DR starters take this same set so as pointed out above it is easy to get.
