When I purchased my H a few years ago it came with the drawbar unattached but I thought that all the pieces came with it. Now that I want to put the drawbar on I seem to be missing the pin that the drawbar mounts onto and pivots on under the tractor. Where can I find one or better yet can I make one myself? If so, what size is it?

I am pretty sure IH still has them.

Steve: I agree with Jim, just be sure you adhere to the grade 8 parts. You might also be surprised how easy it would be to find that pin at a tractor recylcling yard. I know I have a box full of hard steel pins from old tractors and implements, none the size you need. I find them one of the most useful and popular parts one can save.

Measure the hole (I think it is an inch and an eighth, but do not believe that #. Then purchase a grade 8 bolt with a shank that size and long enough to have only shank used to do the task. Cut the bolt (abrasive cutoff, or several hacksaw blades) and put it in. It is held in place with a rectangle of 3/16 strap measuring about one inch by 1-1/2 " with a 3/8 course thread bolt holding it in (I think that is the size, check it before screwing in the wrong threads) JimN
