Farmall M battery going dead.

Thanks to all for the help I got my M started replaced the coil, pionts, cap rotor, etc, now the battery is drawing down , something is causing this and I do not know what. Any help is greatly appreciated.

What does the hydrometer read are all the cells close if one cell is weak it realy reduces the crank power.

A circuit systems polarize by jumpering ARM (gen) to BAT momentarilly.

If you have one, check the regulator to be sure it is not sticking closed when the tractor is shut off.

Is it 6 volts or 12 volts?? Does ithave a genny or an alternator?? Common problem for that is a chargeing system problem but with out more info hard to say

It is 6 volt, and a genny, is there a way to test the genny to see if it is working properly

You most likely have a set of points in the VR stuck and causeing you the problem. Some times you can open up the V.R and file the points, or just replace the V.R. and polerize the system
