City-Boy McCoy...a while back you had commented on how many old Farmall's you saw when you were here in the upper midwest. I had posted a picture that wasn't the clearest to give you an idea. Well, I cleaned it up again and will repost it for ya. This is what's in one shed, in one little township, in Wisconsin. Starts to make you wonder how many are still floating around out there doing work. I can't even imagine.

All these boys still work too...these pictures are from the end of tobacco harvest as is noted by the full shed.

Great shot, Billy. Made me fondly remember the old homestead near Stoughton too. Now, just as a test, left to right, it's: H, M, SM, H, M, H, and I-don't-know-because-it's-post-letter-series. Am I right? What years are represented, do you recall? Can't wait to see that lineup in person again sometime.

Just FYI, I've been helping Bobby and his son Pete on their 6410 (dare I say the color?) chopping corn stalks with a batwing Rhino mower. Takes me right back to driving Grandpa's H with the 7-foot disk. The field and I communicate, know what I mean? There's something magical to being out there, doing something helpful that I also love doing. Saw the other kind of deer (brown doe) out there today.

See you again soon, Gunn. Emma says hi. David

David!

How are you doin'? You did have that lineup correct! The one on the end is a 544 T/A rowcrop that we put a wide front on. It makes for a decent loader tractor, but the wide front doesn't lend itself to a great turning radius.

I bet it was nice to get some seat time in the field even if it was on the wrong color tractor. I know what you mean about the communication though. There is so much to take into account as you work, always listening for a jump in the governor or increase in the weight of soil.

Oh boy, do we have the deer up here this year too. My nephew and I were heading out to our stand at around 6:00 AM (still pitch black) and had three almost run us over! I think dad might have kicked them out when he headed out to his stand. Kinda funny though.

We'll be in touch Dave!

Billy
