No question. The 434 had the BD154 diesel with 3 1/2 inch bore x 4 inch stroke. The gasoline BC144 version was 3 3/8 bore x 4 inch stroke.

RN - I agree that a 9.52 cm strtoke would be somewhat close to 4 in. but then a 3.5 cm bore would calculate out to be much less than the stated displacement. Besides, you wouldn't give the bore in english and the stroke in metric units; it's just a mistake in the data listing!

Obvious missprint in data sheet. I have seen some partial metric conversions for motorcycles and european cars - the translators aren't mechanics. Instruction/dat sheets from China now have some funny tranlations. English/British literature when they changed to metric sometimes confused for BSA, Triumph, Norton, BMC. American and Englend-2 people seperated by a common lqanguage. Could be a dropped 3 and decimal shift- could be stroke '3.952' inch? RN

154 cu in provided it is the same engine as in the 424 and 444, I don't have a 434 listing. Bore and stroke 3.5 x 4.

The stroke figure (9.52) is wrong in the tractor data listing as it would be indicative of a dis-
placement of ~367 cu.in. If the displacement noted is correct, a stroke of 4 inches provide the displacement as noted.

9.52? Metric cm would be close to 4inch. RN
