The drawbar is listed as taking two 1/2"NC bolts and two 5/8"NF bolts, but the parts book does not say if they are grade 5 or grade 8. Anyone know?

Do not think you will find new bolts from normal sources to match originals most letter series bolts were DOT HEADS with dot in center. Have seen variation of dot heads that had center dot with 3 slashes similar to grade 5 but slashes are spaced 120 degrees and go from dot to outside of head. Saw an add (I think in Red Power) for reproduction dot head bolts recently.

Grade 5 and 8 both have their applications. My dad is head electrician at a local stone quarry, he is actually contracted out through his real employer. They had an issue with snapping grade 8 bolts quite often. My dad suggested they use grade 8 and his coworkers laughed. So he did a test on one of the rigs. After 6 months and several rigs having bolts replaced, they were trying to figure out why one rig never broke any bolts. They found out my dad replaced them with grade 5 bolt which arent as brittle. Lesson is, bolt grades have a purpose, harder is not always better.
However, in this application, I have no idea what is better suited, most likely grade 8.

The price is not a concern, I just wanted to put it back together the way the factory originally built it.

Okay, I know all about grade 5 and grade 8 fasteners. All I want to know for restoration purposes ONLY, which hardware the factory originally installed in the drawbar.
