I got an M yesterday and instead of having the Farmall emblem on the front it says McCormick. This is a first for me.

The grill is an M grill. I don't know hwether it came with it on or someone put it on though.

That's not the first time I've heard that.My 41 H WAS THE SAME WAY,IT HAD mC cORMICK ON THE GRILLE instead of farmall, and to the best of my knowledge, the grille is original. Some time ago, someone posted a picture on this site of a 39 H that was an original one family tractor, and you can make out Mc Cormick on the grille.Another IH mystery.

No mystery to it. The original grill emblem became damaged or fell off, and someone had the McCormick emblem so they put it on. Those emblems will readily interchange. When you are looking at tractors that are 65 years old and older, anything is possible, and I really doubt that there is even one Farmall H or M in existance that still has the original grill emblem.

The McCormick emblem was used on the W series. "International" was used on industrials.
The emblems will interchange. You could have a W6 grill but I doubt it as it would not fit well.
