Ok, I'm going to tackle the axle leak on the left side on my 130, in a couple of weeks. I'm trying to get everything ready, and I have a few more questions. I'm planning on cleaning the transmission and final drive at this time, and just wanted to know, what oil is leakning out onto the brake band. I assume it's the axle seal, but the transmission oil doesn't enter that cavity does it? I plan aon disassembling the final drive and cleaning the gears, and painting it, while I have it apart. What gaskets will I need to replace, and can someone give me an overview of what I need to do?

There are two seals in that area. One on the tranny and another one in the final druve so you mite as well get both and replace them while you are apart. Only gasket needed is the one one the lower pan that holds the 90wt for final drive and the little one on the end of the diff shaft. The seals and gaskets on the axle are probably ok but if leaking there goes more parts. You wont know which ones are leaking on the diff shaft till you have it apart.

Chad, The oil that is leaking onto the brake band is gear lube that traveled from the bull gear to the driven gear then through the seal onto the brake band. You will need that inside seal and you will also need axle bearing retainer seal. Under the bearing retainer is a gasket and another gasket under the dust cap inside the final drive. Oh, and the gasket under the upper pinion cover.

Block up the tractor under your final drive.
Remove your tire and wheel.
Remove the drawbar.
Remove the inside final drive cover and remove axle.
To change the outside seal, you have to press off the outside bearing.
With the axle and bull gear out, remove the fender and then final drive.
Replace the seal and brake and replace the assembly.

scooty you dont need to remove the bearing just remove the brake drum and the bearing and shaft will come out thru the housing after taking off the cover plate holding the bearing in place. The diff shaft only comes out thru that hole.
