Guys, I need your help on this one. My 450 diesel had a gas valve to stick in the open position and of coarse it missed on that cylinder on the diesel side. As you know the valves are recessed on both ends. I tried all the wonder sprays and finally had to remove the head and drive the valve out. After cleaning it on the wire brush wheel and cleaning the valve guide, it seems fine. Do any of you have any ideas on why it stuck. It is not warped. The tractor ran fine before this happend. I normally leave it on the diesel side when I'm not using it. It is quite a job to take the head off a diesel high crop working on a ladder. Thanks, Buddy

A little carbon, or a piece of dirt/or metal fragment is all it takes. What ever you found in the guide and on the valve was probably it. It will be OK. JimN
