At 49, I remember standing every morning at school and reciting the "Pledge of Allegiance". Sad to think about it, but I imagine this isn"t done at many schools anymore. I also enjoyed playing "The National Anthem" as a trumpet player in band. Enjoy your weekend. Let it snow, let it snow, let is snow! Al

In the grade school in Franklin Park, a near suburb of Chicago, they still recite the Pledge of Allegiance very school day, and children are excited to be the ones chosen for this Duty.

I've never heard that version before. He and his show used to be one of my favorite shows on TV.

Can you imagine a "entertainer" of today reciting something like that on his/her show?

While going to Automotive School in Vincennes Ind. I lived three houses from Red's Early home. He has a special place in my heart. JimN

I really liked the Red Skelton version, I have it saved on a cd, and use to carry it with me in my semi when I traveled the country.

Al, hasnt anyone told you, snow is evil?
I'll hopefully get my voluntary layoff for 2 months and it will be cold as heck, so much for painting my 300u. Bad time of the year, but with my senoirty, I would never get the layoff in the spring/summertime.
