It's Fall oil change time. I wasn't paying attention when I took the old filter out. The center pipe? sticks out twice as far from one end than the other, it will go back in the can either way, and it's not marked "This End Up" that I can see. I got to think it matters which way it goes, anybody remember?
Thanks, Wm

Ronald is correct -- the small end up, should be a fairly close fit to the bolt diameter.

The long end with the bigger hole goes in the base, the short end has a smaller hole with a rubber seal that goes around the bolt goes up.

It may fit either way, but I don't think it'll go back together either way. If it does, you may have the wrong filter.
