Rather than creating a post and driving good posts off the bottom of this page, wouldn't it be more thoughtful, and actually easier for you, to enter the business name and location in a google search dialog box?

The front page can only accomodate 20 threads, Geno just used one. I didn't.

Mike started a valid thread yesterday about the speed at which threads disappear from the first page. Junk post don't help the situation. Moreover, Geno could have had an instant response to his question if he had used Google.

I can see that my attempt to help him and the board are not welcome.

I suppose I should have learned from an incident about five years ago. I ripped a young man for titleing his thread with something like "Help!! Need phone number fast". Can you imagine being his mother?

Wardner,

You know, I was just thinking (yeah, I know), using YOUR logic, a very LARGE number of threads could be avoided from cluttering up the board if people would just GOOGLE things like part numbers, point settings, tractor photos, and lots of other stuff! If you haven't tried this, you'd be surprised at what can be found with GOOGLE, pertaining to this old stuff!

The lack of so many new posts would make the board very BORING, at least to SOME of us!

You're like me Wardner. If people would just stop for a second and use their brains from time to time, they can save themselves a whole lot of frustration, time and trouble. Instead they go through life begging people to spoon feed them simple information that is easily obtained by just looking it up.

BTW, if you guys hadn't poo-pooed the new forum software way back when, "important" threads wouldn't fall off the first page so quickly, because they'd automatically go to the top of the list each time someone added something.

Well, NAT, not everybody is as smart as you and Wardner, (and ME for that matter ;-)), so I guess there'll ALWAYS be folks "screwing up the system"!

Luckily, the 'net is big enough to handle it all!

Bob, it's not about being dumb. It's about THINKING.

People like to believe that they're dumb, and act like they're dumb. Makes life easier, or so they believe. I believe people are much much smarter than they give themselves credit for, if they'd just stop and ponder the situation for a second rather than instantly throwing up their hands and declaring defeat.

I don't think there's a person on this board who isn't mentally capable of operating a wrench, but you wouldn't know it to read some of these threads. Drives me absolutely batty sometimes...

Nat 2...for the many years I have been on this board, I have seen you make some darn good points and express some good ideas. But some days I think you are just one ornery sonuvab*tch! I admire that though. They say it takes all kinds to make the world go round.

I think we should have a sticky system. All posts made by me should be stickied to the top of the board because they are all very important and very valid threads... like my joke about the farmer... all other threads should fall as they may.
